Central Washington University is located about 30 miles (50 km) north of Yakima and 110 miles
east-southeast of Seattle, WA.

DESCRIPTION / HISTORY:

In 1891 this institution of higher learning began as Washington State Normal School. As the college
grew in size and enlarged it's class offerings and majors, it went through several name changes. It
was later changed to Central Washington College of Education, Central Washington State College
and finally to Central Washington University.

While it continues to be one of the fastest growing universities in the state of Washington, it is still has
a very strong teacher training program.

There are 19 residence halls which provide housing anywhere from 35 to 255 students, offering them
a variety of attractive and complete housing and dining packages. Rooms today come with furniture,
basic FM-TV cable service, basic telephone service, utilities, and coin-operated laundry facilities.

DESCRIPTION OF KAMOLA HALL:

Location of Kamola Hall - It is located in the South west section of campus, right near University Way,
between McConnell Hall and Sue Lombard Hall Kamola Hall is a 4 storied, newly renovated Residence
Hall, which was finished in 2003. It was one of two original residence halls and was built in the early
20th century. It was housing students during WW I, WW II, the Korean War, The Viet Nam War and
still is very much in use today.

MANIFESTATIONS:

Kamola Hall - Haunted by female student who hung herself from the rafters of the top floor where her
room was located when she got the bad news of her beloved's death during the war.

* Residents who live in the building still hear knocks on the door, see doors open and close on whim.

* Residents have been treated to strange noises which are unaccountable.

* On occasion throughout the years, the living have seen her apparition.
